I assume that you are not talking about a bluetooth headset; if you are, then just follow the directions to pair them up.
If you're talking about a corded headset, you will need to find an adaptor from a motorola to a samsung plug. I'm not sure that they make such a thing, but google would be a good place to start.

I have my second motorola H700 headset paired to a samsung m300 phone. The problem is with my first headset after the pairing of the two, any time the headset was closed the bluetooth icon would go black...

Some phones allow you to set the options for the device in the bluetooth menu for each device. These options include auto authorize which is what you would be looking for to enable for your new headset to auto connect. I'm looking at the Samsung m300 user guide, but it doesn't mention this option, however it may be in the menu as an option when you select the device under the bluetooth menu.

Motorola bt hs820 will not connect to my samsung a777, it just keeps searching for it. I asked before I purchased this phone if it would work and I was told twice by 2 different people it would work.

Hold the phone button on the headset until the light comes on and the head set beeps. When this happens start the discovery process on your cell phone. When the device is discovered it will ask you for the pass code to pair the headset. I can't remember if it is 99999 or 00000 check with motorola or the paperwork that came with the headset.
