There seem to be a physical obstruction like a foreig object in the paper pathway.
Try to turn the printer upside down ad shake it.
That is after removing all the paper and securing any movable parts. Don't worry about the ink. they won't fall out.
If you give it a shake you may hear the object rattling.
If you are lucky it will also fall out.
After it fall out keep shaking to see if ther are other objects.
If not you may need to use a small flashlight to examine it.
the common objects are paper clips,
coins buttons and children's krayons. But just about any-ting that is stored above the printer is likely to fall in the paper way.
Goog luck.

It's one or two things. First make sure there is nothing stuck in the printer. Such as, a paper clip, coins, or even a staple. Make sure you take all the ink cartridges out of the printer. Shake the printer and see if anything falls out. Good luck!

Will not print because the printer states that it has a paper jam and must be cleared. There is no paper jam and I have disconnected all connections to reset but it doesn't help.

There must be a small piece of paper somewhere that got stuck. If you dont see anything close the printer and when you restart it hold down the on button or go button for 3 seconds this will reset the memoory and clear the jam. If this did not help please post to me and I will guide you further.

I have an HP deskjet 5550. I had a paper jam earlier but cleared it. After reseting, warning light still comes on. Printer makes clicking noise when I first turn it back on.

First off how long have you owned the printer? There are several possibilities at this point. Possible paper still jammed or damage done to a part while clearing the jam. Once I have more information I can assist you further.
Thank you,

My printer will not load and the window says the carriage is jammed. It is an HP Officejet 7410 All-in- one. It first had the message Paper jam and after I opened it and there was no paper jam I...

1. Check if there are broken parts inside the printer-carriage area
2. Turn the printer on and off
3. Clear any paper jam by opening the rear access door at the back of the printer. If there are no paper jams. Clean the rubber rollers with a lint free cloth that is moist with water
4. Make sure that the carriage can move freely
5. Remove then reinstall the ink cartridges
6. Make sure that the control-panel faceplate is correctly installed
7. Plug the printer directly to the wall outlet
8. Perform a partial reset on the printer.
a. Unplug the power cord from the All in One
b. Press and hold # and 3 while plugging the power cord
c. Do not release the two buttons unless the printer would say reset
9. Try to print
10. If this would not resolve your issue then the printer sensor is already defective.
