My igolf neo won't work with Windows 7. Whe I load the sync program from the disk that came with the product, the device will not connect to the sync program. If I try to download and install the new sync program, it will not fully load.
I fixed this problem by going to Start>Control Panel and uninstalling the Java 64-bit program. It is incompatible with the Neo sync application. The other Java program on there is compatible. It worked immediately without even restarting. (I tried the above Best Solution, but on the newer computers, I get a message saying the Vista driver is only for Vista, not for Windows 7).
I had this problem too. I suspect you loaded the XP USB driver. You need to use the Vista driver.
0. Uninstall the pl-2303 driver under Control Panel>Programs
1. Download the sync software from iGolf.com
2. Unzip the file to a known location
3. In that folder browse to the USB drivers:
...\iGolf_Neo_Installer\iGolf_Neo_Sync\Data
4. Use the PL-2303 Vista Driver Installer (make sure your Neo is unplugged)
5. Browse back to the standard installer software:
...\iGolf_Neo_Installer\iGolf_Neo_Sync
6. Double click on "iGolf Neo Installer"
7. Install the sync software. When I installed the sync software, it hung up at 99%. I waited about 5 minutes, closed it and tried opening the sync software. It worked fine.
8. Plug in your Neo and turn it on.
That should work.
