My Singer stylist 513 sewing machine makes a knocking noise from the top. I have cleaned an oiled it. When I turn the wheel manually, It appears that something is tight and then jumps.

Take out your needle and turn it. Does it turn any easier than when it is in? If this takes place you need to have it serviced to have it adjusted and/or gears possibly replaced. There are other possibilities but the adjusting and gears from underneath are most likely.

Singer 111w100 cannot easily rotate hand wheel. Oiled but no improvement. Do internal parts go bad? Adjustments possible?

Your machine probably needs a lot of TLC. Unless something is broken, most likely the problem is lack of cleaning and oiling. If it is in a humid location, could also be rust.

Perhaps this will help (particularly using Tri-Flow Synthetic Oil and a hairdryer):

The feed dog knob won turn don think anything is broken haven used the...

How To Oil Singer 3810 Sewing Machine - Oiling Diagram

Singer in their wisdom have taken that task away from the home user when they started going to plastic parts and such. You won't find schematics or adjusters manuals unless you get lucky and some sew-guy has made one up via his tinkering.

The only thing I can offer is. Oil where metal meets metal, Lightly grease where metal meets plastic or plastic meets plastic. (be sure to get the right kind of grease.)

Sewing machine wheel won't turn, motor whirrs

So it sounds like the motor is working but nothing happens? And the hand wheel works ok by hand but nothing when the motor is engaged.

You've broken a belt. I'm not familiar with the 930, but if it has an internal motor... take it in to have it done. It's way too easy to knock these out of time. Spend the extra cash and have it cleaned lubed and adjusted too.

Pfaff 1471 wheel won't turn

Don't force it. You'll need to find the problem that's causing the binding. This means you'll need to look at the mechanisms for thread, gunked up lint and oil, etc. If this is beyond the scope of your mechanical ability please take it in for a "clean, lube and adjust" Pay the money to get it working correctly and then you'll be able to love your Pfaff again.
