There is a seal between the drum side and the transmission, this needs replacing, and the oil in the transmission also needs replacing

I would advise you to save your repair money and look for another unit. It sounds like the seal and bearing have gone bad and you are seeing the bearing grease on your clothing. Sorry, but you need a priest rather than a doctor for this one..
Check out the whirlpool product line, pretty good and fairly priced as well.

Grease /oil spots on clothes coming from washer

Hello,
This sounds like the drum bearings are starting to wear and allowing grease to infiltrate through the inner seal.Does it sound noisy on the spin cycle.

Oil marks on my clothes after washing

It could be an indication that the main bearings are failing, or it could be an effect known as grease balling.
This is caused by washing at too low a temperature, or not using enough powder, or using the wrong type of powder.
If it is the bearings, then I would expect it to be getting noisy, particularly on the spin cycle.
Hope this helps.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

I get oil/grease spots on my laundry ffrom my

You probably have a bad seal on the back of the drum, as that bearing is the only source of grease near your clothes. Good luck.

I have an oil leak on my clothes washer.

If you have a front loading washing machine the oil is really the grease for the bearings that support the drum. The grease seal needs to be replaced, and if you are replacing the seal you might as well do the bearings. This is not a cheap repair because of the amount of labor involved in tearing the machine apart to replace the seal and bearings. If you don't repair the seal, eventually the grease will be washed out of the bearings and the bearings will be destroyed. You can tell if you need new bearings because when the machine is on the fast spin cycle it will sound like a jet engine taking off.

Grease spots on clothes

That could mean your overloading your dryer to the point the wheel bearings are squished really bad. When loading your washing machine you should always be able to see the water level more than the clothes, your clothes should be floating in the water. That way, when you unload your washing machine and go to dry, you will have the right amount of clothes everytime

SPOTS ON WHITE CLOTHES

if your washer has a slight rumble noise when on the spin then it is most likely that your bearings are on there way out, what it is is the bearings have grease in them and once the bearings start to go this grease starts to leak into the drum which is what the brown spots are it also leaks at the back around the bearing at the back of your outer drum and also leaks onto the floor this will need fixing by a domestic appliance engineer but it is sometimes cheaper to replace the washing machine
