While wathching TV, the typical volume level

ONKYO TX-SR703 AV Receiver

While wathching TV, the typical volume level displayed is +30 to +35. While changing channels, the sound discontinued. Using the remote, I adjusted the volume control and still no sound. I can change the receiver to the radio but I cannot control the sound via remote or manually on the receiver. The sound level is stuck at +6 and I cannot turn it down. Please advise what has happened and how to fix.

Sorry but this receiver has no HDMI inputs or outputs. I believe you have to step up to the TX-SR803 before you get any HDMI capabilities. Good luck.

Hi,

To reset the Onkyo TX NR3007 AV receiver to its factory defaults, turn it on and, while holding down the [VCR/DVR] button, press the [ON/STANDBY] button. “Clear” will appear on the display and the AV receiver will enter Standby mode.
Thanks for using Fixya.
Good Luck and have a nice day.

Directing volume from AV through TV

Check the volume level of your TV remote control and make sure it is not down all the way.
Make sure your cables are plugged into the TV output and not input..
Depending on your cable configuration, you may need to assign the digital inputs using the setup menu on the receiver's disply.

Rear Speaker volume too low

Channel level output can be adjusted in the menu if you have the remote. Set the rear channel level volume higher and the fronts lower if need be, and then turn up the volume. Enjoy!
