Question about HP Mini 1000 Netbook

New out of the box on/off switch was bad, they fixed it however when they shipped it back to me i wasn't home had to go to a Fed Ex depot 30 miles away. Had it working for 3 mos. started freezing up. Bought external drive (from HP) and they sent me recovery disks. On the phone with 3 different folks in India helping me with the recovery, gets all loaded up,freezing again. Now doing hard drive diagnostics. 5 1/2 hrs.ready to throw it against the wall. no more HP for me.

As an employee in WIPRO and working for HP i ask for forgiveness. Its all because of the competitiveness that we never stay on a call for a long time and try to skip the real troubleshooting.
Set the defaults in BIOS:
1: keep tapping on f10 while starting the computer to go to BIOS. Press F9 and then F10 to save the defaults and to exit out of BIOS
2: Disable Startup services. Type msconfig.exe in RUN window . GO to the startup tab and Disable all
3: If you are able to go line. Update the BIOS.
GO to HP.com and in Support and Drivers page, put the P/N# and select Download Drivers and select the OS type.
Install the latest BIOS
3: Disc cleanup and Defrag the Hard drive using respective tools in Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>SystemTools>>>>
4:In Run Window >> CMD >> run as administrator >> CHKDSK>>enter
5: Install Malwarebytes anti malware and Advanced System Care and Run these

Replace batteries in remote,if still not working,go to fuse or breaker box and see if fuse or breaker switch is off or fuse blown,if good there,then it could be a bad switch on fan or remote is bad.If switch is bad,turn power off at box,remove, take to Home Depot or Lowe's and match up.

No digital display on my ge 15132 timer


Reset timer and reprogram.
If functionality is not restored, then timer has gone bad.

GE15132 digital timer from Home Depot has 1 year limited warranty.
Digital timers do not have replacement parts, and are susceptible to power surge such as simple power outage.
Buy new timer at Home Depot, and return defect timer in new package for refund.

Need a part for the sprayer. wasn't in the box the pipe with the sprayer end on it


Howdy g5483,Most reputable retailers' will either let you exchange the sprayer or get you the part. At The Home Depot we will gladly do either one to get you what you need.

1999 chevy cavalier. wasn,t getting heat to inside. put in new thermostat. heated up fine for a couple of miles, then cool air. shut off when got back home. anitfreeze was bubbling back out of reservoir....


make sure you get ALL the air out run it without cap until you see water circulate turn heater to hot NO FAN ABOUT 5 MIN close cap ,see if that works

Hampton bay ceiling fan works, but can not change speed or stop fan. Model 46006 52" Huntington III. Is there an easy fix?


your pull chain for the fan is bad u can go to home depo & buy a new pull chain but when u replace it on the back ot the switch their is A 1,2,3,4, make sure the wires go to the correct #'s

Bought a Ryobi weed trimmer CS26 from Home Depot. The second time I used it string broke both ends. Could not take it apart went to Home depot after 30 days they could not take it apart. They would not...


just cheap equipment. Mark it up to experience and do not purchase equipment fro home center or box stores ever again.

This is just one of the many problems of dealing with

the box stores rather than a full service qualified dealer. If you can

find one in your area, patronize them. Not just when the box store

lets you down but for everything. These type dealers are

disappearing and are not being replaced and soon they will all be

gone.

Line breaks off when in use


the lines need to be running in opp.dirrections to each other.
also it might be bad line get new line try that.
also place seasalt on leg, sting like a badthing but will heal quicker.P

Poor flush, need to repeat. plumber says bad flush valve, only 2 yrs. old. had sewer lines cleaned.


probably is. You can fix it yourself very easily.
Go buy a FluidMaster flush vale (Home Depot for about $20.00) follow directions in the box and you should have it fixed in about 30 minutes or less
Save you a bunch on labor by the plumber.

Getting lines in photos


go to the canon web site they have an advisory out on this I just got mine back actually they kept my S1 IS and sent me a new S5 IS because "they did not have the part and wanted to expedite my repair"

I sent my camera in per Canons instructions, received an e-mail a few days later(1/9/08) confirming that they would repair it a few more days later (1/16/08)I received another e-mail confirming that it had been repaired and shipped. Today (1/17/08) I got it and to my very pleasant surprise the box contained a new S5 IS!!! I will be sending them a very nice THANK YOU for it after I post this.

PS: e-mail accepting repair 1/9/08
1/16/08 e-mail stating it shipped on 1/15/08,
received 1/17/08 via FED EX
