If ur using WIFI with ur router, then there are two possiblities
either the wireless encryption key or WPA password that you are trying to enter is incorrect
Make sure the wireless key is correct.
If u dont know how to get the wireless key then contact 2 wire people and they will give u the key.. or contact ur ISP and check whether they support 2 wire or not so that they can provide the wireless key
second reason might be you are not getting the correct ip adress from ur router
try to reset the router and restart the router and the check whetrher ir works or not ,,, it will give u correct ip which will hopefully resolve the problem
......
If ur using LAn connection not WIFI then also try to reset the router
Check if this works or not....
There can be many other reasons as to why this is not working
but the steps that i have told you are the main reasons for this to happen..
you can contact me if problem still occuurs

Trying to connect to my wireless router belkin n150 with my laptop compaq presario 2500 have a yellow triangle saying limited or no connectivity

Limited connectivity
If you get a 'Limited connectivity" on you wireless connection on your laptop, it means that the wireless card on your laptop probably did not get an IP address from the wireless router.
To fix this problem, right click on the wireless icon on the Task bar and then click Repair.
This will force the wireless router to issue a IP address to the wireless card on the laptop.

My laptop can detect the wi-fi but I cannot connect to the internet. What is wrong with my router? Please help me out. This is a new router by the way.

routers have a limited bandwidth.. but some routers need to register your laptop serial to be able to connect to the internet.. there is a permission to allow your laptop to use the wireless connection.. check your wireless connection setting, then choose your router name, then try to connect..

Trying to connect wirelessly to 2 wire. I get limited access icon

Hi groveland1,

I see that you are having issue with your Internet Connection, Limited or no connectivity is a possible issue with your network key / security key on the router and your laptop.

1. Try and check the network key in your router.

2. Check your network settings in the Laptop and see if the security settings in your Laptop is the same as the security/network key in your Router.

3. If possible recreate your wireless connection in windows for a fresh connection from your Laptop to your Router.

4. Change your Network Key in the Router and in your Laptop see if it will connect in-case you may have forgotten you old Network Key.

Hope this helps.

I have a 2Wire 1700HW router that is locked or encrypted. How do I unlock it? It is old and I'm not with the same internet provider.

First you will need to open the router set up.
Is there any computer connected to the router with the Ethernet cable ?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
Check the IP address of the computer and open the router set up.

Cannot add a new laptop on my eHome wireless router

There is not a limit to the amount of devices that can hook "wirelessly" to your router, but your bandwith is limited. Internet bases phone services will eat up a large majority of your available bandwith. try limiting the bandwith of your phone service or disconnect it all together and see if you can then connect.

pls rate as "very helpful" if this assists you in your problem. ^_^

Limited connectivity - wireless

Verify if your wireless option on the router is enabled.
Also when you setting the wireless on the router, be sure that channel is not on automatic. Specify a channel number. After that try to connect again to wireless
