Question about Televison & Video

The picture on my TS-4573 rear projection tv has started to roll vertically at a fast rate. How can I make this stop. On old tv's there was a vertical hold adjustment on the back that you could play with to get the picture to stop rolling

This fault is caused by defective electrolytic capacitors in the vertical deflection circuits, they need to be changed out, do this before it causes more problems, there are no adjustments for this anymore.

TV screen jumps and rolls, sometimes won't stay on

Try Re-soldering the vertical yoke connection and the vertical output IC. Thats a common problem in that model.

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.

Mitsubishi Projection TV Model TS 4573 not TS 4545

No if the problem is the screen, you will need to replace the entire screen assembly. some screens come in two parts. The inside of the screen is called the freznal lens, the outside of the screen is called the lenticular lens. Good Luck

hi. if the rolling is slow that mean you have a fault in the vertical and sync seperate part of the tv and need a technical support to slove but if it is fast yo can set it up with the vertical hold knub in the back or you have to open the back cover carefully that if you know how to do that but be carefull tv is a dangerous set hazard , look for the vertical hols variable resistor and fix it to stup rollinf for the sound fault , if you hit the side of the tv does it comes normal ?/ if yes then some part need to be resolders dried up soldering pin
