Cannot Sync music files

Isn't the MP3 player supposed to work just like a regular one? I plug my phone into the USB and nothing happens. I tried to sync and it does not read the phone. Other people say I need a CD-ROM still others are saying Bluetooth and still others are saying memory card etc..can you please help me? Thank you.

the computer wont let me sync anything on to my memory card. it tells my it is Write Protected and i don't know how to remove it or make it so it lets me put stuff on it.

Okay... :)

1. the PC needs a CD-ROM with the cell phone's drivers to help interface the sync process.

2. you could transfer the files via bluetooth if both cell phone and computer have bluetooth components built in them.

3. if the PC tells you the memory card is write protected, look for a tiny little lock/unlock switch in the edge of the card to undo the "protect".

Hope this helps...

SOURCE: Cannot Sync music files

you've got several options, you can save mp3s to the phone memory itself if you use the motorola phone tools cd and a usb or bluetooth connection to the phone.

if you've got a memory card, you can also save data to the card.

if you've got a memory card, and you plug the phone in via usb, then the phone should show up as a usb disk, you can also use a usb card reader to put data on the card, and then drop the card into the phone.

to be clear, if you have the cd with motorola phone tools, you can save files to the phone, or the card... if you don't have the MPT, then you need a memory card, and either use usb, or a usb card reader to put music on it.

cheers.

Downloaded music from itunes into computer and then to mp3 player but music when into mp3 player browser and nothing happens when I open the file

The ITunes maybe be in MP4 file format.
MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format.
You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable.
For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track.

I left my mp3 player hooked up to my computer over night...i'm thinking it was just a bug that worked itself out. I have no idea how that happened, but it works fine now.

Computer doesn't recognize MP3 player -

I had the same problem, all you have to do is first turn on the Mp3.Then go to settings. Then go down to USB mode. It will probably say, auto detect. But instead scroll down to MSC. If that doesn't work try MTP.

Computer doesn't recognize unit when connected

I am guessing there is a problem with the driver for the audio player. I have a Coby Audio Player MP-C827, and one day my brother decided to just remove it from the computer without correctly stopping it. Ever since, whenever I plug in it into my PC, it just does not open...nothing happens. And I don't have the cd to re-install the driver files. With respect to all of the above, a driver file which is needed by the mp3 is either damaged or corrupt. Contact me at ramone.williams89@gmail.com

Cannot Sync music files

Have you set your memory card as the default connection? If not then go to your phones settings menu and select the connectivity option. Then select USB settings. Next select memory card as your default connection. Ok now your default connection is set so plug the USB adaptor into your computer then into the phone. If the computer does not automatically detect the phone  open the computers control panel and select add hardware. Follow the promps in the wizard. It should come up as USB mass storage device. Once your device is recognized there are a couple of different ways to get music stored on your memory card. First is to have whatever media player is on your computer to detect your device. Then put the songs you want to tranfer into the sync list. Once you have done that click start sync and it will copy them to your phone. If the first option is not an option then onto the next. Second is to click on my computer and select the drive letter that represents your phone(mass storage device). Once that is open select the file where your music is stored and highlite the files to transfer. Once you have the files highlited drag and drop them into the window for your phone. The files should start to transfer at that point. Wait for the tranfer to complete then disconnect the USB from your phone. Open the digital audio player on your phone. It should say "updating music directory" then main menu once it is finished updating. Scroll down and select songs you should now see a list of songs. Select what you want to hear and enjoy. The first is the easiest and best way to go. The second is not hard but is more bothersome. Hope this helps.
