Yes I'm on xp. The taskbar lettering turns grey

Yes I'm on xp. The taskbar lettering turns grrey every few seconds and everythig freezes except for the mouse. It's impossible to use the keyboard until the left mouse button is clicked. You can then type (if you're quick) but any delay or pause and the taskbar lettering turns back to grey until the mouse button is clicked again.

Regards,

Frazer

if yes, go to START>CONTROL PANEL>SOUND AND AUDIO DEVICES> and under "Device Vloume" tick "place volume icon in the taskbar".
I am presuming that you are using windows XP.

I hope you will see the volume control again on the taskbar.

That model's definitely a junker. I'd recommend an entirely different computer brand. If you could afford it, Sony is a good brand, as well as Samsung. Just stay away from the Vista OS, it's terrible. Try Windows XP or Windows 7 on your next computer after you get your money back.

Disable taskbar

- I think you want to 'hide' the task bar? Move the mouse over the top edge of the taskbar until the cursor changes into an up and down shape you can then drag it down so it cannot be seen. Another way - in the taskbar properties you can tick 'auto hide the task bar' so it pops up and down out of view by itself. Please rate me 'thanks for trying' or better, and comment again with more information if this is not the solution you wanted. I might not have understood your problem properly.
