SOURCE: Action Replay for Nintendo DS

Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:

Prob: Two white Screens:
Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.

Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion:
Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.

Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes:
Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:

a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected)
b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware
c) Disconnect DS AR from PC
d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS
e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)

Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:

a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS.
b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option.
c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code.
d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install
e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed.
f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.

-- I hope this helps anyone --

SOURCE: action replay code maniger dose not detect my action replay

I have had the same problem. I found what solved it was going into system properties, device manager, and finding in "other devices" the device called NDS link with the error triangle on it, then clicking "update driver".
This is assuming that you have the original cd. According to others on the internet if you download the software from the site, it does not seem to include the drivers.

SOURCE: action replay code manager doesnt see the action replay

Many are experiencing this, what you are looking at here is a faulty action replay. go to the Datel website and submit your serial number to them, it will immediatly say whether or not your AR is from the time period when they had a problem with the internal USB reading system, if it is, then send it in and one will be shipped withing 10-12 weeks

SOURCE: my action replay code manager is empty and I want to add pokemon

Heres your problem, I believe you just recently purchased this AR, the new version of action replay require a software update found on Datel's website, after downloading this software your Domain Suffix of your Optical Drive will automatically replace the program with the newer one. Open up your winsock processor and buffer the Native file of your AR back into your fluxus core before adding codes to your action replay, if this does not fix the problem, submit a complaint to the Datel Hacking Team located at PO box 45265 North Ridge, CA. This whole process should take anywhere from 10-12 weeks to fully resolve

My action replay ds leaves the start screen but then just goes white even before it reaches the main menu.i tried blowing on it it and it still does the same thing

Hello dijanilaplac,

There can be many problems with your Action Replay DS. Try taking the Action Replay out of your Nintendo DS Lite Console, and look at the part those goes into the DS. Make sure nothing is bent, or missing. If something is, it might mean you may have to have it repaired, or replaced. Also keep in mind that sometimes Action Replays can be sensetive, so don't move it around while playing, or it may cause your DS to freeze up.

If you just bought this Action Replay recently, it should have been supplied with a CD to insert into your computer. You should install Action Replay onto your computer. When you have been brought to the main Action Replay Code Manager, find your USB and Action Replay plug in. Plug the small end into the top of the Action Replay cartridge, and the USB into the computer. Now a New Hardware wizard should have popped up on your computer.

When prompt, select, "Install from specific location.", then click next. Then select Search from CD-ROM. Sometimes it may sound different, just select the one that says something about searching from a CD-ROM. After this has completed, reset your Action Replay.

If the problem persists, feel free to contact me, for questions, or replies.

Where on the camera do you plug in the plug for the computer, i know where the usb goes on the computer but the plug I got does not fit in the camera

Your camera requires a "U8" type USB cable to connect between the standard USB port on your computer and the U8 jack on the camera.

steve_con_27.jpg
A "U8" style USB cable & jack.

The U8 USB is similar in appearance to the USB "Mini" or USB "A" style jack. But will not mate to any other jack besides the U8 style. A typical USB Mini or "A" is shown below for comparison.

The camera shipped with the correct cable, but you probably didn;t notice there was a difference between it and other USB Mini cables - and simply grabbed the wrong one.

I hope this helps & good luck! Please rate my reply - thank you.

Keep getting message to connect to computer via usb port . it is already connected????

This has happened to me too. I'm sorry to say that I think the cable can easily be damaged and it's no longer usable. Unless if there's some program to fix it you should just buy a new one.
Sorry :u(

Lost usb computer/camera connection for leica d - lux 2

There's several standard configurations for USB cables, and chances are, you need one of these standards.

Take your camera to a local computer store, or even a Best Buy, and they'll SHOULD be able to find a cable with the appropriate end to fit your camera. Chances are the computer end is a standard full size USB connector.

Where is port to connect USB cable?

I'm sorry you're having trouble with this. I have put together a picture that shows where the mini-USB plug is supposed to be attached to the camera. I hope it helps. This picture actually shows plugging the AV cable into the receptical, but right behind it is the mini-USB port. This is where you connect the USB cable. It looks like you have to lift the flap on the corner to reveal the plugs.
