How do i replace rear wheel bearings on a schwinn meridian trike?

Your trike probably has cartridge bearings. If so they are a press fit, and need to be pushed out, and then replaced with a bearing that is exactly the same size (type will be printed on the bearing face). It's important to push the new bearing in carefully.

I’m happy to help further over the phone at

How to repair front tire

Sounds like you have the bearings in upside down. The flat side faces out. After the bearing comes the outside bearing race ( its cone shaped, small end faces in). Then the keyed washer, then the locknut (the thin one). Make sure the cones are not too tight (this also causes grinding). Plain washer and axle nut (the fat one) go on after its on the bike.

How to place the main bearing shaft support back into Muncie 4 speed transmission

Here's what Chilton has to say on assembling the main shaft.
1.assemble 2nd gear, from rear of main shaft, with hub toward rear.
2.Install 1-2 synchronizer ring , with clutch taper to rear, together with a blocker ring on each side so their keyways line up with the clutch keys. Some units will have a snap ring to go on now or some units will have a 1st gear spacer sleeve to go on.
3. Install 1st gear with hub toward front and 1st gear thrust washer.
4.Press rear main bearing onto shaft being sure to seat it firmly. The diagram shows a piece of 1 and 5/8 ID pipe used to do this.
5. Install correct snap ring in groove on mainshaft behind rear bearing. Max gap between snap ring and rear face of bearing is 0"-.005".
6.Install 3rd gear, hub to front, and synchronizing ring, notches to front.
7. Install 3-4 clutch assembly with taper and hub to front. Make sure keys in hub correspond to notches in 3rd gear synchronizer.
8.Install snap ring on mainshaft with ends of snap ring behind spline teeth.
9.Install rear bearing retainer. Spread snap ring in plate to allow plate to drop around main bearing and press on end of mainshaft until snap ring engages groove on bearing.
10. Install reverse gear with collar to rear.
11. Press speedometer gear drive on mainshaft. From the inside face of the speedometer drive to the inside face of the rear bearing retainer should be 4 and 5/16".

Need to know the direction the center support bearing needs to face mine is to far gone to tell what way it went

It is pretty simple. The side of the bearing with the "F" marks face towards the FRONT of the vehicle. See picture below.

Rear wheel bearing

If you have ABS then the wheel bears are not replaceable, and the entire hub needs to be replaced as a unit. The OEM part # is 4340250G11

If you do not have ABS then they are replaceable. The inner bearing is part # 0926225061, and the outer bearing is part # 0926220069.

The rear wheel bearings are pressed in the brake drum with a spacer in between.

Remove the rear brake drum and place it on a work surface.

Tap out the opposite side with a screwdriver/punch and a hammer. (i.e. tap out the inner bearing when the outside of the brake drum is facing you, and tap out the outer bearing when the inside/brae shoe side of the drum is facing you)

Tap in the new bearings making sure that the sealed sides are facing out.

How to change a wheel bearing on 406

Hi, when you have the wheel off, in the center you will see a metal cap. take that off and you will see a large nut covered by a cotter pin and cover take them off, undo the nut ant-clockwise. when the nut is off a washer and the outer bearing will come out with the hub. that's your first bearing to change, The inner bearing is in the hub at the back. and that one will be a bit more hard to get out,
To get it out use a turn the front of the hub facing you support the hub off the ground just about 2inch. get a long blunt screwdriver and put it in through the hole int he hub. you will see the bearing just place the screwdriver between the bearing and the hub and tap it out evenly around.
To put the back bearing in the hub, turn the hub face down and place the new bearing on top of the hub evenly and use a piece of wood and tap the bearing in and replace the rubber too. The front is easy and removing the old one.

Does the drum have to be removed to replace both bearings and oil seal on an indesit wash machine type we16

No, remove the drive belt pulley and remove the 8 bolts holding the x shaped cast iron frame with the bearings in, lay the washer face down (ensuring adequate protection to the door and controls) whilst pulling the x shaped frame away from the drum tap the threaded shaft lightly with a rubber faced mallet and the frame will come away complete with bearings and seal. To replace the frame (with new bearings and seal installed) I used a large socket and long bolt to draw the shaft through the new bearings.

What direction do bearings go on both ends of armature

The flange on the front bearing should face away from the fan blade (and protrude slightly up through the hole in the case toward the bakelite gear area), and the flange on the back bearing should face away from the windings (toward the switch area of the case). The felt pads around the bearing should be thoroughly soaked in oil before you put them back in, although the blade end bearing is oiled through the small oil port (the small chrome circular port near the air slots).

98 Grand C jeep 4litre crankshaft end play

Usually this can be done but I think that if you have wear on thrust faces, there is likely wear on support faces as well, Once you have the pan off, plastigage both rod and main bearings. if out of specs, you really should change all of them!! Make sure you torque everything properly and avoid getting oil on backs of bearings when installing... can lead to spun bearing.
good luck
