My side by side is one year old. I tried th pry up the brass contact like you suggested. Thanks for the tip, but when I did this, it made my numbers on the cold settings to go off, and a clicking noise to begin. Like there is a big short. As long as I keep the bulbs, (one on the top left side and the other lower, middle bulb unscrewed) no clicking noise and the numbers work. What is MY problem? Say I really appreciate any tips you might would have!!!

Possible that the bulb recepticle is losing contact with bulb, real common among refrigs that have 2 bulbs back 2 back in one socket.UNPPLUG refrig and try prying up the brass contact arm on bottom of socket assy.UNPLUG first, that contact is live!!!!!!!!

Blinking light in refrigerator

I think that's the light letting you know the door is open so it won't drop ice. When I held in the catch on the left side (as if the door was closed) the red light went off for me.

Frigidaire is freezing everything

Make sure the light is going off when the door is in the closed position. Find the switch that the door makes contact with when it closes. If the light is not going out the heat from the light being on could cause such a problem.
