I don't know if its from the CCD or from your LCD Monitor. CCD dead pixels can be fix but you can't do this at home, need service center because first you gonna need Service Support Software, second you need connecting cable(QAMxxx) and (YTUxxx) Jig. Sorry

How do I fix dead ( not stuck) Pixels on my acer laptop? It appears like a smll hole in screen

You can't fix dead pixels, the transistor is faulty. This is indicated by black spots.

Stuck pixels remain a solid color other than white. This cane sometimes be fixed using software that flashes solid colors on the screen. Hot pixels remain solid white. this can be fixed in the same manner.

White spot on screen

Sounds like you are describing stuck/dead pixel.

There is no fix, it is a Pixel gone out in display panel, good chance it is just stuck and will right itself but sadly sometimes they dont and the only fix is to replace the entire display panel
Manufactures warrant such defects different depending on amount of dead pixels on screen is considered faulty, ie 3 pixels grouped or 5 separate ones .

Why the white or black spot on LCD Display

Dead and Stuck Pixels <br /> Pixel defects for an LCD monitor are defined as one of two types: dead or stuck. Technically, both types of pixel defects are stuck pixels but it really deals with the electrical currents and the state of each pixel or sub-pixel. <br /> A dead pixel is defined as a pixel or set of sub-pixels that has failed and is permanently in the off position. This condition means that the pixel will not let any light through. This can be observed as a dark or black spot on a brightly colored or white background. <br /> A stuck pixel is defined as a pixel or sub-pixel that has failed and is permanently in the on position. This can be either with a single or multiple sub-pixels for a given pixel and is best observed on a dark or black background. A white pixel means all three sub-pixels have failed while a green, red or blue pixel means one of the sub-pixels has failed. <br /> Hope this helps, if so do rate the Tip

Tiny black spot lcd

Erika, Do you mean you have a black spot on the LCD of your camera?
We call that a dead pixel. Can be black and can be white. Most LCD's sooner or later have a one or more dead pixel(s). As long as they are not in the centre of the screen you won't notice them. Even dead pixels on the camera sensor can happen. These you won't see at all, because the software does calculate what that pixel would look like in that specific shot. And the software will place a correct colour on that spot.
Try to live with the dead pixel(s). you won't see them on the actual pictures. Not on the computer to tablet and not on a print.

I have a green dot on my screen of my JVC HD52G887

Hello. If it resembles a tiny bright green dot, this is most probably a dead pixel. In the troubleshooting guide in the user manual, the manufacturer states that some pixel loss is normal--either they will be gone or permanently "on". If the unit is new(i.e. still under some warranty) talk with the supplier about options--they *may* decide to replace it if the dot is in a particularly annoying location. Be aware though, they won't be under obligation to do so. I own a LCD projector with a few visible pixels--as devices such as these(lcd tv's, projectors, plasma, etc.) age, this type of phenomenon is going to occur. Normally--and this certainly isn't always true, there is a tolerance of 3-9 pixels. Check with the supplier and/or manufacturer for individual specs. Especially if the unit is under warranty!--Hope I successfully assisted you.---Rick

Pixel gone

No this is whats called a dead pixel. Since it's white the transistor at that pixel area is shorted. Depending on the age of the unit the manufactor may replace the unit if not the whole panel will have to be replaced at a cost of more than the unit cost. Most manufactor says more then one pixel has to be bad before they will do anything.

White bright spots on screen

These kind of patches or spots are called as Dead Pixels.
If you find any thing that doesnot change colour along with the other part of the Display according to the image, those spots are referred as Dead Pixels where the LCD needs to be replaced.
Contact your nearest HP Authorized Service Center and find the cost to get the LCD replaced.

Dead Pixels???

It's a hot/stuck pixel. It's not dust. If it's always the same shade of white and on every shot it's stuck. If it's some shade from grey to white and only shows up on longer exposures, it's hot. Can't be fixed. Canon should be able to map it out, but I'm not sure of their warranty policy. Sometimes warranties on sensors specify a maximum number of defects. Very few, if any, warranty a sensor to be perfect, with zero dead, stuck or hot pixels. If you don't specifically look for it in a print, it's unlikely that you (or anyone else) will notice it.
