Hi, Sally378, I may need to get any model numbers you may have for the remote or the unit to solve this. If this remote has batteries you may want to change them to see if this takes care of it. If not, send me the model numbers from both the remote and unit itself.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

Key symbol appears on digital display and heater will not start. Model: rinnai avenger 25 plus

The Key Symbol means the controls have been locked. Either by accident or intentionally. If you don't have the code to unlock the controls. Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to OFF and unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Wait 30 minutes and plug the unit back in, turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. The heater should have reverted back to the original factory settings. Now, you can change the settings to whatever you prefer. Just stay away from the Lock-Out button.

Hop this helped you solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Carrier air conditioner

Need the model no. It will be on the unit somewhere, on a plate on the back area, or if it's a unit with seperate condenser, the no will be on the condenser outside, or wherever it is.
