Cleaning flex cable on Razr

The FLEX cable doesn't ever need to be cleaned. If your screen became blank it's probably because (among other things) the flex cable IS broken, not dirty.

Tighten T6 2 screws? With what and huh? I'm a dumb girl... clarify

You remove the battery cover. At the bottom end of the battery area there are 2 screws. Remove the battery and slacken them slightly and then retighten gently. You need a Torx size 6 driver and a set can be purchased at the likes of Maplins for a few pounds. As for cables you will need to remove back completly to check them.

Key Pad

Tiger, u gotta take ur phone apart, Using a torx screw driver (about 10 dollars at radio shack or walmart) and on the display side, remove the 4 screws with the torx screw driver, using some type of blade take apart the display, remove the connector with a knife or something really thin, and with some kinda brush (a tooth brush will work) brush the two sides of the connector since i m sure u ll see alot of moist in the same connector, and put it back together and that should fix ur problem.

Tries To Come on, But Screen Will NOT Light Up!

hi there.
the problem your having is caused by a ribbon that connects the screen and the mainboard in the phone.
the ribbon seems to have either come loose or detached.other than that being a problem it will almost certainly be a screen issue where the lcd has burnt out.
but in my professional opinion it will almost certainly be a ribbon issue

HOW TO INSTALL THE OEM Motorola RAZR V3 Keypad LCD Flex Cable

1), remove the bottom part (completelly)
a) do you know how to open the bottom part?

2) remove the cover on the top part
a) disconnect the keypad LCD Flex Cable

3) remove the two chrome "big screws" that allows it to open and close

4) CAREFULL!!!! WHEN YOU READY TO SEPARATE THE TOP PART FORM THE BOTTOM!!
a) make sure the Flex cable is loose, and take a screw driver, push the ping on the other side (try to do this at the edge of a desk or table) keep pressure until this side pops out. KEEP IN EYE ON THE OTHER SIDE!! that the Flex cable does not get cut out by separating the two sides.

5) Replace and pop the two sides together.

6) Put everything back together.

Good luck!
let me know if I need to be more specific

Motorola Razr: small mount of water contact.

Yes, once the dot turns red it will not go back to white. you can disassemble your self, but be careful. Open the top of the phone where the screen is at (4 torx screws) genlty remove the cover. you will see two connectors, one that goes to the camera, the other is the one you want. genlty pry it off upwards, I would also clean it with some IPA (rubbing alcohol) and a brush, re-connect it pushing down firmly, you will fill it when it connects. if it doesnt work, you can purchase a new flex, if you need repair help, let me know I can try to repair

Mean buttons

This is a common problem, it has to do with the keypad flex. either the connector on the top part of your phone is unpluged or your flex is damaged.
