1) We are having a similar problem, and each time the internet "fails" we have to reset the router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. After that, it works a random amount of time before it stops routing again.
2) Occasionally we have to reset the DSL unit that comes into the house (feeds the router) as well. We also unplug this for 30 seconds.
3) Do you have the CD-Rom that comes with this router? It supposedly has all the set up information. Right now I am trying to locate my so I don't know if it is any good.
4) Also, have you checked your power supply? If it is not powering the router, of course that would stop everything too.

How to change NAT type to open, for Black Ops 2 on PC!! With a Greyfox router

You want to setup a Virtual Server. Noted on pg 12. You are basically assigning ports to be available outside the firewall / NAT.

Looking to change my Nat type from moderate to open

online gamer ? xbox has a solution for most issues of this type. You'll have to open up a browser page and type in your router IP address in the web bar at the top of the page. That will give you access to your router preferences( it will prompt you for the pass, default is usually admin, or left blank). Once inside router, change your DNS. Sometimes you'lll need to open up specific ports.

you need to find out the ip address of your default gateway.. you can do this by going to Start then Run and typing in cmd. then in the black screen type in ipconfig... you will see somewhere on the screen your "Default Gateway" ip address... go back to a web browser and enter this address you will then be taken to the admin screens of your router where you can administer the firewall

Weird problem. IE works, but other internet-using programs don't

The firewall is turned on on you router and can be disabled by changing the firewall settings on your router. utorrent and online games have to use ports for incomming and outgoing data transfer and should be listed as exceptions on your router. go into utorrent options and check what port is being used and do the same for your brothers game if you want to keep the rest of the ports blocked from potential attacks.

Hi We've just change service providers and I need to change the password of my Netgear wgt624v2 router the site hhtp//192.168.0.1 doesn't seem to be working?? Any ideas Kelly

To change the password, you might need to plug in your ethernet able to your computer and then your router. Then try 192.168.0.1 to again connect to router.
If you are using wireless the password of the router doesn't need to change. You will though need to set your new modem to be ale to connect to your network.
