HB55MB551B/47. Why does error 'NO' come up on temperature gauge when trying to clean automatically?

Useless website, but my advice is to never use the self clean option. It always breaks things. Disconnect the power at the breaker for 10 minutes.

Help category: Error code / error display / signal

Problem: Other error code, error signal appears on the display

Whirlpool self-cleaning oven: RBD275PDB14 . . . I DO NOT want it to self-clean. Is there any way to DISABLE the self-cleaning feature?

Just don't use it. The finish in the oven is made to work with the self-cleaning operation; it naturally facilitates burn-off at high temperatures. It is normally impractical to remove and replace the finish, besides, it's harmless as far as I know. If you are worried about someone accidentally activating self-clean, you could tape a coin over the self-clean button. (If you have a curious child in mind, the coin may actually draw attention to the button and invite its operation - you know better than I who or what you are dealing with.)

There is no good way to disable the self-cleaning function without replacing the controller with a custom-built and programmed unit. The button is in a matrix with other buttons, so attempts to disconnect it would disable other buttons and generate a controller error that would prevent the range from operating.

I HAVE A WHIRLPOOL MODEL NUMBER RF368LXKQ RANGE AND WHEN I TRY THE SELF CLEAN BUTTON I GET F5E1 WHAT IS THE PROBLEM

Hello,

The F5E1 error codes means that the door light switch OR a switch on the self clean latch has failed. If the oven light comes on and goes off when the door is opened and closed it most likely going to be a switch on the latch thats the problem.

The part numbers are;

DOOR LATCH W10107830

LIGHT SWITCH 3195993

Tried to do self cleaning on oven, about 10 minutes in got "f2 locked door" and it won't clean. what is that all about?

Error code F2 on clean cycle is indicating that the maximum permissable cleaning temperature has been exceeded. (or it's got too hot!)

However it seems unlikely that that would happen in just 10 mins. more likely it is a problem with the oven temperature sensor which should be checked over as should the lock switches..

My self cleaning oven door will not open, and keeps beeping and

The F9 code indicates there is a problem with the door lock.

Try disconnecting the power to the range for 10 seconds and reconnecting. Open the oven door and hold the door switch plunger in while you try these things. Put the control into clean for 5 minutes then cancel clean. You must hold the door switch plunger in for the 5 minutes.

Try canceling the clean cycle without putting the control into clean.
