Question about Hitachi Travelstar® (13G1103) Hard Drive
Yes that is known as the click of death. I have a Seagate Barracude that just started the same thing. I'm assuming I will not be able to retrive any data off the drive. What I'm doing on it though is wipeing the drive clean - partitioning it a few times/ formatting and then will return for an exchange. Suggest you try same (depending on age) by using an external housing. you can get them pretty cheap on ebay
