I pried up the back of the cover holding the height adjustment wheel and was able to snap the cover axle with the cover installed into place.

What does the question mark mean

The question mark means there is no bag in the vacuum. If there is a bag in place, check to see if the bag is covering the bag switch located to the bottom right with the bag door open. Remove the bag that is in it and find the switch. Replace the bag and make sure the cardboard on the bag covers the switch and close the door. The vacuum should run.
If it doesn't run you should take it to a vacuum repair shop that works on Electrolux vacuums.

How do you replace the belt on xl2200 upright oreck vacuum cleanrer

Ok with the front of the vacuum facing you look on the left had side of the power head then follow these steps.
1.Remove the door by removing
the hold down screw located on
side of power head.
2.Slide the door forward by
prying open with a screwdriver
or coin.
3.Remove the belt from the brush
roll pulley and the motor drive
shaft.
4.Loop the new belt over the
motor drive shaft. Place the
opposite end of the belt on the
brush roll pulley.
5.Rotate the brush roll three (3)
complete revolutions to ensure
that no part of the belt is
overhanging the end of the
motor drive shaft.
6.Replace the door by sliding it
into the groove at the bottom of
the housing. Replace the hold
down screw.

I cannot find my owner sheet and need to change the belt in my upright oreck

THERE IS A SINGLE SCREW ON THE SIDE OF THE VAC KNOWN AS THE 'BELT DOOR'.

LAY VAC ON IT'S RIGHT SIDE, SO THE BELT DOOR IS STICKING STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR. REMOVE DOOR AND BELT DOOR. CUT OLD BELT IF IT IS NOT BROKEN. TUCK NEW BELT UNDER BRUHROLL PULLEY FIRST THEN STRECH OVER MOTOR SHAFT.

DO NOT REPLACE BELT BY REMOVING BASEPLATE. 1) THE MOTOR IS NOT STABLE ENOUGH FOR THE TIGHT BELTS WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF THE MOTOR 2) REPLACING BASEPLATE IMPOPERLY MAKES VACUUMING DIFFICULT. ">

Broken trap door on dirt bin, can I just replace the door or do I need the whole bin

I have the same problem, and found the "trap door" available at http://platinumvacuum.com/dyson-dc07-bin-base-assembly-904279-10.html Since the part number is shown there, you may be able to find it elsewhere more easily using that. I will keep looking elsewhere myself.

Cannister vacuum cleaner bag full sensor faulty.

I'm pretty sure it's not the power supply. If it were, you'd have more problems then the sensor. It sounds like you just need to replace the senor for the "bag full" light

Is it easy to replace the debris door myself on the vacuum? Mine broke and I want to replace it myself but not sure if its easy or not.

Take a close look at the old debris door and determine whether or not you have the tools necessary to do the job. If you do, remove the old one. The new one will go one in exactly the opposite steps.

Getting the vacuum to start after replacing the bag

Behind the door and above where the bag is located there should be a piece of plastic, or metal that sticks out, at least in the manual, if the door isn't shut correctly, that piece doesn't push in the switch that is behind there, this is a safety feature built into a lot of vacuums, to keep people from running the vacuum without a bag in it. Most likely your lid just didn't shut completely. Check for that, and get back to me.
