Question about Computers & Internet
9yr old Compal RM CY25 Laptop did suffer from screen being trod on.
Old power adapter 19V ok all wires secure and insulated.
Adapter rating 19V 3.68A. = apx 70watts.
Adapter socket on back of laptop OK.
Old battery blinks the LED Orange (Not Red) New battery blinks the LED Green. Been on charge for 8hrs with LED blinking green.
No steady Green LED ever.
Battery down to 11.38V. As tho it has discharged it.
Zero % In battery charger window. XP Pro.
Laptop will boot on power adapter supply, with or without old or new battery.
I've tried several adapters @ 19V and one with 6.3A = 115Watt
Thank you in advance for any help.
Unfortunately, the charger socket in the motherboard does not drive electricity to the battery to get re-charge it. It is a typically motherboard problem(Do not confused with a power jack problem). I can not be repaired it.
Two options work always hook with power adapter or get ride of her.
