Question about Dell Inspiron XPS M140 Notebook

1 Answer

I have a dell XPS M140 and it gets about halfway through the loading screens and blue screens on me. I've tried safe mode and it still blue screens. I've gone into my system information and ran tests and all that came up that was wrong was i had an invalid AC power adaptor (It's the same cord i got from dell with my laptop) Is it really my AC adaptor that is causing the blue screens?

The dell logo flashes then the screen goes blank. The hard drive keep flashing like the laptop is booting up okay it is a xps m140 and has vista home as a o/s

After the logo flashes, press F8, repeatedly, until a white-over-black "boot menu" is displayed. Choose "Safe Mode", to see if this "minimal" version of Windows will startup successfully.
