Question about Bulldog Remote Starter & T-Harness Kit for 95-03 Chevy Blazer/Chevy S-10 Pi

Added remote starter on vw jetta 2004

Car will start sometimes and sometimes it doesn't with the remote starter. Seems like when the temp. is below 30 degrees the car will not start. It tries but won't start. This is when we'd like to use the remote! The guy who installed said this might happen because "that's the way vw's are"! He told us this after he installed. Is this the case with the vw's? Any suggestions?

No, this is not correct, did you have to give up a key, or did he use a bypass module, either way, you can check next time it won't start by putting your key into the ignition and leaving it in the off position, then try to remote start it, if it starts then your installer needs to reposition the transponder loop around the ign switch or reposition the "key in the box"

Sounds like the chip in the key is not allowing the security system to allow the car to start. You may need a new key from the dealer.

VW Golf starting problems

Most likely, the problem is the wiring. Over the years, corrosion builds up in the ground strap and positive lead to the starter (from the battery).

or the battery is old or the the starter is dying get it test at a shop for free.

Check engine light on for sometime; Response to throttle sluggish

If your catalytic converter is "below efficiency" or otherwise clogged, you will lose power as you drive and the vehicle heats. The more you drive the vehicle, the worse the problem will become. The exhaust can't escape properly through the catalytic converter, therefore your engine won't run properly. Your issues are related, and if you replace your catalytic converter they should go away.
