Question about Inland 08216 2-port KVM Switch

The simplest solution I found....make sure you use a PS2 keyboard and mouse connected to the "switch". When I was upgrading a client's PC, I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to switch between his PC and Mac, even though it worked fine with his old PC. It didn't dawn on me until 10 minutes ago that the missing piece was that I upgraded his keyboard and mouse to USB and plugged those into the back of his PC. When pressing Scroll lock (twice) and the #2 key (on the keypad) nothing worked. Reason why... the keyboard and mouse was connected to the PC, not the switch. Should seem logical enough, but I never used one of these switches before and there is no documentation online, except this website.
