I loved my washer up until a week ago. First thing I noticed was that water would be left over in my soap dispenser drawer and I would have to empty it before the next load. No problem just a few extra steps. Then all of a sudden none of the soap, fabric softner etc. would wash out into the wash. I called the service center they informed me about the drain at the bottom left which I never knew about. Emptied that and have run a cycle with no soap and no spin as suggested. Did not work! I have done this three more times to no avail. I even removed the soap dispenser tray and ran hot water through out the hose to rinse it out. Did not work. Have NEVER used anything but he tide in my machine. When I did run the cleaning cycle there was a little water left in the dispenser tray so the water seems to be running through when there is no soap in it. PLEASE HELP!

Re: soap dispenser not working
It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter. Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve. Clean out the filter with toothbrush. Reinstall and everything should be ok.

I understand that your Electrolux washer, model# EWFLW65HIW, has water left in the soap dispenser. This is typical for your particular model. The soap and fabric softener area are set up on what is called a siphoning system. This means that when it is time for the soap to release it will release and run water through the area. If the mechanism closes before the water is done running through, you can have water left in the soap dispenser. Hope this is helpful.
I have a SIMONIZ S2000 electric. I bought the unit about 8 weeks ago used it once. On the second use yesterday the unit didn't work as well, the pressure seemed only a bit better than hose pressure and soap did not dispense at any pressure. SO.... after much thought I turned the hose/tap pressure down so that I only got about 2-3 GPM instead of the typical 5-6GPM normally coming out of my hose....... it worked! Soap dispenses and spay is way better! It seems that if if the inlet hose pressure is high the pump doesn't work as well... go figure.
Ours is a SHU3300UC/06 model, basic model which we bought in 1999 so have had 9 years of trouble free service. Recently
we noticed that there was soap left in the soap dispenser after the
machine had finished all the cycles. On further inspection we noticed
that the upper level glasses, cups and bowels are not consistently
clean and it appears that the upper washing arm is not working
properly. At the back of the upper washer arm, there is a rectangular
piece that slides over the two water outlet tubes projecting out of the
back of the washer which supply H20 to the upper arm. On removing the
upper arm and the rectangular connector, I noticed there is an inner
place that I think is supposed to work like a washer that fits tightly
over the 2 water outlet tubes in the protruding from the back of the
washer. I noted that the upper opening in the washer/seal is broken so
a proper seal is not established. This would cause insufficient water
pressure getting to the upper arm and reduce its effectiveness. Now
I'm trying to find the replacement part. It appears to be something
than can easily be replaced.
The pipe from the soap dispenser to the tub is quite large, it seems as if the water isn't getting out of the dispenser quick enough. Pull the whole dispenser out of the machine. There is a release clip at the back of the cup with the tray fully open. Clean out all soap residue and scum. Sometimes there is also a spot or setting for liquid or powder detergent. Adjust accordingly. Reassemble and try it again.
Clean the dispenser water hose ,stuck by liquid dried soup./ the hose going to washer was open during washing time so all soap loaded was gone /
During water refill if nothing water pass to soap dispenser the soap will remain intact / but in washing time all soap will directly washout dispose to drain hose without to clean clothes.
my washer is about 1 year old. It started leaving water in all the the compartments, soap, bleach and softner. I tried everything also. Nothing seemed to work. I finally took the hoses off the back of the machine, and the cold water hose screen was clogged up going into the machine. I cleaned all the screens and haven't had that problem again. I think there wasn't enough water pressure to flush out the containers. I dont think its gravity or suction, its water pressure. unless you get a blast of water into these compartments, there will always be water left in these containers.
ok, either a spring, trigger prob, on the latch, or a electronic prob. ok so to see if the latch is ok (or not) look closely for soap residue and scum, that may be hindering the latch or spring under. use metho, and warm water to clean this part.
secondly go down to a white goods repair place and take your electrical component, button, lights its all one unit, simple unscrew it, i do think you will need a set of torque screws for that tho... anyhow ask the guy to get you a new or second hand one and install it. the timer will run, and the clip will release.
