    1990 Ford Mustang GT

Running very hot - on the N after short driving distance - replaced water pump, thermostat, radiator, and new after market fan (not quite as curved as orginal) Please help have no idea what it is- I was told by a mechanic that there may be something wrong with the fan clutch, but that shouldnt cause the overheating.) Please help!

If something is wrong with the heater cord would it effect the cooling system?

1992 subaru legacy 2.2 liter overheating and no heat. already replaced waterpump, thermastat, radiator and hoses

You mean the car is running fine but just No Heat?
If so
-Sound like the heater hoses are plug. or the control valve is no function

-Check the heater control valve and flush the heater unit with water of garden hose from both directions.
Q: How do I know that is working or not?
A: Slide the heater control from Hot to cold or cold to hot and check it turn or not. (If not turn at all. The cable is broken or slip off)

I have a 2000 ford mustang and the heat is not working. cold air comes out when i turn the heat on.

check to make sure the heater control valve is opening/ check to make sure that you have pressure in the radiator (about 14-19 lbs) be careful not to get burned put a towel over the cap before opening.!
if you pressure! check to make sure that the thermastat is good if thats ok ..check to see if you have water going through the heater core if you do check to see if the door is opening inside. between the heater & the air conditioning if you have air
sometimes critters get into the heater box to keep warm if all else failes change the radiator

the fuel system is seperate from heating system.check water pump the impeller could have deteriated i have seen this in another cavalier, once i removed water pump the blades that move the water were full of holes.but first make sure ther is good flow to the heater core.also hope you used a 50/50 mix of antifreeze because solid antifreeze wont heat up.

I would have to assume that the water has heated up,, but there is also a valve in the heater hose, at the firewall that opens when you turn the temp knob. if the hose going to the firewall is hot, and you are not getting heat inside, the valve is not opening. It can be mechanical or electrical. Not sure about yours.
