I click safely remove hardware and pluged my hard drive back in the USB port my computer will not put it back online

Reboot the PC with the drive connected and powered on.

Navigate to commputer management/drive management and make sure the drive is online.

    Suggest then you make sure the drive is getting power and spinning, if you are not hearing any clicking noises but feel the drive spinning - try replacing the USB cable.



    After that you should look at your device manager and potentially remove all the USB deviced there and let windows discover it on a restart.

My external hard is asking to format everytime when i plugin

Files on a external hard drive can be corrupted if it isnot removed from the USB port properly.
Before removing the flash drive click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon andthen click on the flash drive you want to remove and then remove the flashdrive when the computer message says it is Safe to remove.
To restore the external hard drive to working order you need to format the external hard drive,BUT you will lose the data stored on the flash drive.

Ceedo file is corrupted how do i remove it

Go in My computer/ Computer with the 160 pluged into the usb port. Right click on the Seagate choose format If you have other files on it and you don't want them deleted go in safe mode and try to delete the file that way

When I put my DaneElec 4GB USB Drive into my USB port, nothing happens. We have Vista.

Do other USB devices work when you plug them in the USB port?
If they don't then you have a faulty USB port otherwise the DaneElec is faulty or needs formatting.

You need to format the external drive. Format the drive as primary drive and in FAT32. (FAT32 will allow data to be exchanged between MACs and PCs).
