Heating problem with Dryer Ariston ASL 70C

Hi,

I got a problem with Ariston dryer ASL70C.
The drier does not heat. I remember I had the same problem in the past when the cloths were too wet and the drier kicked a heating switch off.
Techncian came and just turned the switch back on.

I trie to open the back of the drier where I remember the echnician found the switch but I could not find.

Can you help?

I have an ASL70C Ariston tumble drier that suddenly has stopped emptying the water into the water tray.the clothes are still drying but where is the water going

Einy Lane -- Water Drain question -- If your dryer is installed next to a drain the water can be plumbed into this drain. This does away with the need to empty the water container. Simply remove the top hose from its top fitting at the rear of the dryer and plumb the hose provided to the drain.

If a leak has developed in absence of using the drain hose feature, then the water is going someplace else. Unplug unit and then check behind it for the drain line being fallen down. If you need more help, please write back. User Manual can be downloaded without charge from Hotpoint website. -- SWT

I have a whirlpool dryer and it heats up but dosent dry clothes

you have a blockage in the vent system. If the clothing is hot and wet when you remove them then there is a lint blockage either at the lint trap in the machine or at the exhaust hose on the back of the drier

Drum turns and you feel some heat but does not dry clothes

check to make sure you have no lint buildup in the drier itself along with lint build up in the exhaust hose leading from the back of the drier. If there isn't proper exhaust from the lint filter to the outside of the house or apt. then the clothes will get hot but still be wet.

Hope this helped

Drier shuts off

Thermostat controls heat. There is also a

motor centrifulgal switch, in the element

circuit, that the motor closes to insure

the motor is turning. Try another heat

setting. There is more than one

thermostat. You may have blown the

'thermal fuse' too, which requires

replacement. The elecment has a contact in

the 'timer'circuit too.

It is possible that your element has

failed also.

Tripped high limit. Must clean the lint

filter and the exhaust vent tube and all

the way in to the dryer. Hot air exit is

restricted.

Maytag Neptune W/D (Stacked) Drying Irregularly

Mj, 90% of the time long dry times are caused by a pinched or clogged vent. Other things that could be causing this are: cycling thermostat trips too soon, if your dryer is a gas model, weak gas valve coils, drive motor centrifugal switch not allowing voltage to the gas valve or heating element. Check the harness to the motor to make sure it is on tight. Catriver...post back.
