Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade
Have you tried un plugging everything from the console and then inserting a cd? your cd drive itself may be faulty, in which case, i have one if you could like to buy it. but this generally means that your dvd drive or laser needs to be replaced. it depends if your warranty is expired or not. if it is expired, youd have to pay $100+ to get it fixed. but if you still have full warranty, check if microsoft will cover it. check these guys out, great repair service: www.videogamerepairservice.com

I found a solution that works for me after a long period of time with
Get an air spray canister (just compressed air), open your Xbox's game tray, take the disc out, then spray the air along the tray, moving side to side inside the Xbox. You may want to spray into the vents, too, just to be sure.
This worked for me, and it was the only thing that worked for me. I had already tried hitting the console with the controller (gently), and doing the stuff Microsoft recommends etc.
If that doesn't work, you could try gently knocking the top of the Xbox with your conroller, when you put the disc in, as I've heard that works for some people.
Another thing that works for some people is taking the disc out, closing the tray, then when it goes to Open Tray, open the tray, put the disc back in and then closing the tray again.

SOURCE: It just keeps saying "open tray"
I've figured it out!All you need to do is make sure there's no game inside of your 360 (for this to work it need's te be turrn it off) take the HDD off the top of your console then turn it back on (without the HDD) then put the HDD back on top of your 360 and put your game back in.If it doesn't work the first time,do it twice or thrice or more.
