WHOA if you do not know how to run the tool then read the owners manual .there is a lock that must be held and then you loosen the bit collar to remove bit . some routers have a double nut system and require 2 wrenches to do it .

Change the bit on the model RE 175

Hello there
Seems like the RE175 manual is not longer available at Ryobi.

This is from the manual for the RE180 which MUST be similar to the re175. Manual download here https://manuals.ttigroupna.com/system/files/5849/original/RE180PL1_448_trilingual_05.pdf?2014

From page 7 ....To remove the bit:

Place the wrench provided through front of router base
onto collet nut and turn counterclockwise to loosen.

Loosen the collet nut and remove the bit.

Release the spindle lock

I don't know how to remove the bit. to my B& d 3/4 router

WARNING- UNPLUG YOUR ROUTER BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT AND BIT CHANGES!!!!!
most routers come with two wrenchs, one for the spindle and one for the chuck. If you have these wrenchs place them on the proper place, the wrench on the outside will turn counter-clockwise while the other is held stationary. you have have to turn much becase once its loose the bit should pull out. If you have lost the wrenches, you can use two crescent (adjustable) wrenchs to perform the same function, and in a pinch you could use regular pliers, but only if you have nothing else
If the bit has been in the device for a long time it may be stuck (corroded) and you can use some special oil (Liquid Wrench or other). squirt some around the outside of the shaft of the bit and let it set for at least 30 minutes and try to removve then.

How do i change the bit on router?

On my older Sears router there is a lever on the base near the collet nut that you slide to engage the motor shaft to lock the motor shaft for bit changes. On newer models you may have a button or different mechanism to lock the shaft. After the shaft is locked you can use a small wrench to loosen the collet nut, usually by turning it counter-clockwise (viewed from the base). Once the nut is loose the bit should slide out (sometimes the bit is stuck in the collet and the nut may need to come all the way off to get them apart). Just replace the bit with a new bit with the same shaft diameter, tighten the nut, and you are set. If the new bit has a different shaft diameter than the old bit you may need to change the collet also (in general, different collets are used with different bit shaft diameters).

Do a seach on google for your router instruction manual or alternatively try and find the paper manual that came with it.

All routers have an IP address which you type into your web browser. For example, rather than typing www.google.com, you might type http://192.168.0.1 to access your router. This special address is known as the gateway address.

From here, you are normally requested to enter a username and password, which are usually the same for every type of router. (The manual will show these, look for "default password/username".

Once you've successfully logged into your router you can change numerous settings including your wireless security. Again, look for wireless/security settings in the router user manual
