I did not see a primer, that makes it even easier. Take a small sample of hose to your local chainsaw outlet. 12" is probably ample but ask them.
If I can be of more help you can reply below. I hope you found thisd most helpful.

Replaceing fuel line in polan 3300 chain saw

Hi owjbhend...
Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line...lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly...about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.
Below is a drawing of how to route the fuel lines.

Replacing gas line

Your fuel lines are routed like the schematic below. I suggest you replace the filter, all hoses (2 different sizes), and the purge button (bleeder).

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly.

The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best; components are listed but on multiple illustrations.

Fuel lines have rotted off. need to replace then

Mr Tittle;
It isn't good but it's all there is.
What little fuel system system detail there is can be found here:

If it is a 2375 WildThing find 2375LE Gas Saw Type ?. The last digit of your serial number should be a -1 or -2, the type.

I need info on a Poulan Pro 445 fuel line routing

I'm so confused. This is reported as a Poulan and McCulloch pole saw, which one? Is it a pole saw? That is the only 445 Poulan I can find. It is reported as an electric but has a fuel routing problem.

If it is a Poulan Pro gas pole saw it is here: PP445 Gas Pole Pruner
The fuel system routing is terrible, but it is all there is.
Fuel Routing follows:
Tank to carburetor (hose in tank with filter on free end)
Carburetor to primer (primer draws fuel from the tank through the carb)
Primer to fuel tank (returns any excess fuel to tank when pushed) HTH

Routing runs from fuel tank to carburetor, (if equipped) through carburetor to primer bulb, bulb returns excess to fuel tank.

I think the second line on the carburetor is an impulse line and connects to the crank case. HTH

How do you get the fuel line from the carb to the piston?

Your saw is made by Poulan
The IPL (exploded parts list) for your saw is the only detail for fuel line routing and it is sketchy at best. Until 09/24/09 you could go find an IPL here:
Poulan.com
http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html
Now you must be a dealer to utilize the only known source of parts for your saw. Please register your displeasure with this arrangement here:
http://www.poulanpro.com/node4033.aspx
They should also provide a link to the correct IPL for your saw. HTH

How do you get new fuel line into the gas tank of poulan chain saw?

FIrst off be sure you have the correct size line. Poulan uses several sizes of fuel line. If you got the wrong one, you won't get it to go in. The best way is to cut the tip of the fuel line at an angle. If you warm the fuel line before inserting it, it will go in easier. Once you get it forced in a little ways, you can reach in with a pair of needle nose pliers and pull on the fuel line while pushing it in from the outside. If you bought the line from a Poulan dealer, then instructions would be included along with the end being precut at a long angle to assist with installation.
