[ P.S.
You can disconnect the LCD display, and use an external VGA monitor, while you wait for the replacement LCD screen.

1) Laptop off, VGA monitor off.
2) Connect the VGA monitor to the Left side of the laptop.
( External monitor port. The VGA connector resembles this one,

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SVGA_port.jpg

3) Turn the VGA monitor on. Wait for it to 'warm up'.
Turn the laptop on.

If the display does not automatically go to the external monitor;
Press, and hold down on the Fn key.
Tap the F4 key.

(The VGA monitor can be a CRT monitor, {Looks like a small TV}, or a flat LCD screen monitor that has a VGA connector, and a VGA cable ]

My screen is green i was going to change monters didn't work so i put it back and it turn green.help please.

Red, Green, and Blue are the colors sent from your computer to the monitor. Sounds like red and blue are not working. If you've tried a new monitor, I'd try a new video cable next. Then clean the connector on the back of the computer (compressed air). Finally, replace either the video card or the computer.

Blank Screen

Common problem in monitors are bad caps in the power supply, that is the first place to check, look for bad caps with bulging top/bottom, see example of failed VIEWSONIC monitors due to bad caps here (worst case will be bad lamps): http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see so we can help you further.

Same problem - unplug both computer and monitor - hold power button for monitor for 15-30 seconds...then power it back on and then power on the computer. Seems from other sites there is a power issue with the monitor - this worked for me.

Samsung 22'' lcd screen turns on see something for half a second then turns off tried to hook up different computer same problem had two hooked up tot the same computer and same problem on both screens two...

I have had 3 Samsung monitors do the same thing. Before you call Samsung, completely disconnect the monitor from all computers, then power it on. If the monitor is okay you will get a screen that will say something along the lines of "video source not found" in what I believe will be a blue box on the screen.

If you get nothing the internal boards are bad and it is time to send it back to Samsung. Go to Samsung's website, if you have not registered the warranty then do so, you will need the cash register receipt or the invoice from where you purchased the monitor -- you have to send an electronic copy to Samsung to register the warranty. Once registered begin the RMA process. If the monitor is within the warranty period Samsung will actually UPS a replacement montor to you. The process is simple, you go to the UPS Store unpack the replacement, put the sick monitor in the box from Samsung, UPS puts on the prepaid preprinted label, you go home with good monitor and the sick one goes back to Samsung.

Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly. If your monitor and computer are properly connected but the monitor screen remains dark, run the monitor self-test by performing the following steps:
  1. Turn off both your computer and monitor.
  2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove both Digital (white connector) and the Analog(blue connector) cables from the back of computer.
  3. Turn on the monitor.
The floating 'Dell Self-test Feature Check' dialog box should appear on-screen on a black background if the monitor cannot sense a video signal and is working correctly. While in self-test mode, the power LED remains green. Also, depending upon the selected input, one of the dialogs shown below will continuously scroll through the screen.
    1. This box also appears during normal system operation if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged.
    2. Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable, then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer system; your monitor is functioning properly.
