You should look at getting a power supply at about 450 watts + it should give you all the power you need.

Computer shouts down in 15 to 20 seconds after starting

The specs say the PSU is ATX compatible. Whether that is for the connector only or for the whole power supply is something you will have to determine.

If you have an ATX power supply handy (like in an old computer) give it a try. This one is only 300 Watts so it won't likely be expensive to replace.

4 second shutoff

It seems that your unit has some sort of PSU fault, or a problem that is shutting down the Power Supply Unit, PSU. This happens so that no further damage, and possible fire will occur.

You need to take the unit to a reputable service centre/man and ask for a firm "Quote" for the work to be done. It is that sound that gives it away, this is a typical switchmode Power Supply problem. DVD on light comes on for a few seconds and then shuts off

HI, this will occur when there is a power supply circuit fault that is located on the power supply board. this could be a failed capacitor or resistor of some sort.you will need to replace this damaged power board if possible to restore normal function.

It is unable to hold a proper AC current at this time.

hi
most power supplys are protected against faults when they are connected to damaged equipment
so it possibly just protecting its self

disconnect everything from the PSU except your MB

if your pc boots ok

re connect everythng else one thing at a time attempting to boot each time

when it wont boot you have found your fault

Hello wazalac,

This may be the failure of the power supply itself. Did you take voltage readings of the outputs. I would venture to say that the problem is either with the switching power supply oscillator, or the high power MOSFET switch. Check for blown fuses, and if you have a ohmmeter check to see if the high power MOSFET is shorted. You will need a schematic, and a multimeter to do this.

Thank you,
