Typing and the cursor bounces all over the place DRIVING me MAD!!! I want to disable the touchpad

Go into the Control Panel and choose the Mouse option. Look for a setting called "Tap to Click" or something with a similar name. Disable it. This will make it so that when you click the mouse, you actually have to use the buttons, not just tapping once on the touchpad. Also, check your "Touch Check" or similarly named settings. Turn the touch check settings all of the way up - to avoid having the cursor move if you accidentally brush the touchpad with your palm while typing.

If changing those settings does not help with the cursor bouncing, you can try to uninstall and reinstall the device driver. You can re-download the driver for installation here:

If changing the Control Panel Mouse settings, and reinstalling the driver do not help, then I would try to plug in a USB keyboard to the laptop and see if the cursor jumping also occurs while you are using an external keyboard. If it is resolved when you use an external keyboard, then you will probably need to replace the touchpad on your laptop. If the cursor is still jumping while you type using an external keyboard, then you may need to replace the physical laptop.

My advice if you have to get parts replaced is to take the laptop to a certified technician to do the work.

Hope this helps ya!

Jumping Cursor

Are you using the touchpad or an external mouse?
Douse it jump around while typing or when you move the cursor?
If you are using the keyboard. try turning it over and tapping it LIGHTLY against your hand or something soft. There may be some dust or stuff between the keys.

The cursor jumps backward often while I type, and writes behind where I am, lines behind.

You're probably hitting the touchpad with the heel of your hand while typing. Many people do it without realizing it, and the computer is just moving the cursor to where it thinks you're telling it to go. If you're doing lots of typing, you may want to plug in a USB external mouse and turn off the touchpad. This eliminates the cursor jumping, and a regular mouse makes moving around a document and selecting text easier.

My cursor jumps all over the screen. It starts as soon as I turn the P.C on. Whilst this is happening it is impossible to control the mouse. I have two mice connected, one is USB the other isn't. I...

Physically remove both mice (disconnect) from your PC.
Reboot your system and see if your problem persists.
If the mouse cursor stays still in one place on the screen,
connect your USB mouse and wait for system to automatically
detect it and load its driver. If that works, then power off your PC.
Remove the USB mouse and plug in the other mouse (I assume
its a P/S2, round mini Din) and power up your PC again.
P.S. Try to isolate the problem by connecting One Mouse at a time.

The touchpad on this thing is so goofy, it makes me want to throw the entire laptop up against the wall!! The cursor freezes, disappears, then jumps around by itself. I've gone through the settings,...

The simple thing is that just try to change the keypad (Keyboard) or connect a USB external Keyboard to make sure the problem lies in keypad if this is not the case you may check to see the power adapter might not be working properly because if power stabilization not good this type of error could arise
or you need to service the whole internal mainboard (if you have some technicle knowledge about Laptops)you may do it by yourself.
The dust fine particle may also affect the performance of laptops
