Doesn't matter how many times you remove the tracks and replace them, still get Playback Error too.

Just recently when i rip a new cd to my computer using windows media player 11 w/ xp, when i sync it to my yp-z5, the player says playback error, cycles thru all the songs seeing if it can play any. when i sync up older cds i already ripped onto my computer, they work just fine. seems as if must be issue w/ wmp. can anyone help me, please?

It seems like its a goofy oversight on the part of the manufacturers. It doesn't seem to matter for some MP3s, no matter how many times you press the reset switch, or how many times you upgrade downgrade the player software, the player just won't play some standard MP3 encoded tracks.

    Defective? Yes.
Is Samsung aware of the problem? Yes.
Does Samsung offer a solution or acknowledge the problem? No.
    Will Samsung fix it? No.

As for a full refund - there's no other option.

Even using Samsung's own Media player, this error happens with some files. Reading around on other forums, it seems that Samsung are being coy about the problem - pretending it doesn't really exist.

My best advice (which I give below!) is to return the product for a full refund and never buy Samsung again. They're mostly using borrowed Japanese OEM technology (Hitachi storage, NEC chipset) against which they try to develop Samsung-branded products. Unfortunately they appear to be making some fundamental errors along the way, so my advice is buy either Japanese or US products only (Sony, Sandisk, Creative).

How do I convert and transfer music from my computer to my dmg ds140 mp3

Did you transfer MP3 files, i.e files with a .mp3 extension after the name, e.g. StarSpangledBanner.mp3 ? From the error messages you are getting, it looks to me that the files you transferred are not MP3 files. For example, when you press Play, one or more files are highlighted and the player tries to play the first (or the only one) highlighted, but it can't because it is in a format that is not supported, i.e. not MP3. When you click Music, the player starts looking for all the MP3 files that you have on the player or on an external memory card. It cannot find any, hence the 'empty disv/card' error message.

I have a Sony MP3 Player Walkman NW-E005F. I am getting a message displayed on the walkman: 'DRM Error' that is preventing many songs from being played. Can I have some assistance please!

It means the Digital Rights to the song have expired.

From Sony's site:
"This issue may occur if the license for the track you are trying to play has expired on the device. If you currently subscribe to a music subscription service, connect the device and sign into the account to refresh your license to allow for playback. You may need to do this once during each billing period to listen to the subscription music you have transferred. If you are no longer a subscriber to the service where you downloaded the file from, you can delete the song from your portable player to prevent this error from occurring each time you try to play the song back."

5. Press MODE button when selection REPEAT is in the display

Downloaded music to 60g zen xtra

Hi there

I would suggest that you have a look at the file format, i.e .mp3 .wma and then make sure that you mp3 player supports that file format because if the mp3 player only supports mp3's then it will not play .wma. Please remember to give me a good rating.

Kind regards

Try replacing the songs, like, putting them on again. I don't know 100% if it will work but mine had the same problem and this worked.
