I recently bought a brand new 42 inch panasonic plasma tv.The problem with the tv is that its not at all vivid the clarity is not up to the standards,whether we put a dvd or play any movie we get distorted images,something like pixel problems.kindly give me a suitable solution for this problem

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.

I have a 2 black lines. One goes horizontal and one runs vertical. Is this something I can fix?

THIS IS THE START OF THE PLASMA GAS RUNNING OUT...PLASMA TVS ONLY LAST 4 TO 5 YEARS THE GAS JUST BURNS OUT....LCD TVS LAST ALOT LONGER UP TO 10 YEARS..

The pink fuzzies come from a faulty Ymain. If you are looking at the set with the back off, its the largest board on the left side. Get the part number from the board and replace that one first. You may have to check the buffers or the logic board if this doesn't solve the problem but 9 times out of 10 when the picture is firing random pixels, its due to an overload in the Ymain (also called the YSUS).
