Question about Computers & Internet
I've had a 1TB WD MyBook for a few months now, and it recently stopped working. My computer seems to not recognise the device, although I had repaired and reintalled the drivers. I've tried to changed the drive letter but I can't seem to see the harddrive under My Computer > Management. I'm thinking that the driver may be faulty as I've tried it on multiple computers and I still cannot see it, although I'm not sure how to go about fixing this problem. The device has almost 800gig of important documents on it, I'd hate to loose them.
Try attaching the drive to another PC and see if the problem follows. If it does it could be the MBR is corrupted. If not then you have it isolated to one PC. Let me know.
