Clean the Dust underneath the unit and see, if that would work. If problem persists, then more often it is failing Thermostat.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

I have a iron GC9600 where is the reset button on it

There is an on/off button. The iron turns itself off after disuse for a period of time. When it does so, it lights this button. The diagram to the buttons is a few pages earlier than page 6 which describes the behavior of this button. Notice there is no "reset" button in this list other that this on/off button. There is a reset button on the bottom of the unit under the handle. Gently remove rubber connector and press button with toothpick or metal paper clip. Do not hold button down longer than two seconds.

My rowenta iron which is about 4-5 years old starts blinking the red on-off button after only 2-3 minutes of use. Also the orange button will not stay lit. What is the problem? The red on-off button does...

your iron has a thermostat fault its this thermostat thats cutting in and out that puts the red light on it could be fixed but that wont be a cheap fix best bet is to buy a new iron as that would work out cheaper

Is the red overheat warning ligth on? if so, press the reset button, that should reset the thermostat and make it work again.

Plugged in, reset button is lit, won't go off

The problem is the thermostat (NC 150 C). A replacement is available at, item R2015025 (part no. 317-1468-ND) It's a simple replacement with the bottom removed.
