Broken heater during the dryer cycle

Hello, My equator ez 3710 washer dryer does not have any heat during the dry cycle. The dryer tumbles, but there is no heat, and therefore the clothes do not dry. How can I fix this?

Dryer doesn't dry the clothes. I think it's plugged with lint. How do I get the lint plug out?

I am sending you all the possibilities for your problem, check either of these causes ----and than let me know if it is solved----

Power from the house
Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? Check for blown fuses or tripped circuit breakers--your dryer uses two fuses or circuit breakers. The dryer could tumble but not heat if only one of the two fuses is blown. If you have circuit breakers, one of the two circuit breakers can trip, even if the two for the dryer are connected.

Heating element
Often a dryer heating element burns out, but doesn't trip the circuit breaker or blow a fuse. The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter. No continuity means the element is bad and you need to replace it--electric heating elements aren't repairable.

Thermal fuse
On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse--which is about an inch long--is usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing. If the fuse has blown, you need to replace it. (You can't re-set it.)

Wiring
A common problem is for the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, to burn and break its connection. Because the dryer can still tumble with partial power, the connection may be only partially defective. You may need to replace both the power cord to the dryer and the terminal block inside the dryer that the wire is attached to.

Wont final spin

Most likely a door pin switch problem. The machine is sensing the door is open even if it may be closed.
The switch could be cracked or broken and needs to be replaced.

The machine is not drying, and is not heating the water

The 2 thermostats and the temperature sensor may have to be replaced. You may contact appliance desk technical support for proper troubleshooting and then order the parts required from them itself.
You can find their contact information on their website - www.appliancedesk.com

Problems Drying Clothes

That's the way it works, kinda stupid, it would be good if it did that at first to loosen up clothes in case they're stuck to the drum but then move like a traditional dryer but that's just the way it is. BTW, here's a website with parts for it in case you need them. I never used them but just found them, I was lucky I never had any problems with my equator until now but I kinda can live with it (during rinse cycles it pumps water out but then when it does the short spins it does not, so rinsing is not as effective sinse it leaves a lot of dirty water in and then puts fresh water in and does it again, it does pump the water out during the final spin cycle though). Anyways, good luck. I bought mine in 2001 or 2002 and never had any problems except for the one I mentioned.

does it have a tank that you have to empty at the end of cycles

throw a clean pair of old sneakers in the dryer with the clothes. this should not allow the clothes to stay in one place during the entire dry cycle
