Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

Its possible that the bluetooth receiver got busted. Its its brand new, its possible that you got a lemon. Its really easy to set up the drums for GH PS3. Once the lights sync up, you should be good to go. If your drum set is still under warranty, now is a good time to contact the seller and have it fixed or replaced.

I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.

1. Unplug the drum receiver
2. Turn off your Playstation 3
3. Remove the batteries from the drums
4. Plug back in the drum receiver
5. Put the batteries back into your drums
6. Power your Playstation 3 back on
7. Hit the "PS button" on your drums once. (all four lights should flash)
8. Push and hold down the button on the drum receiver for about five seconds, then release it
9. Push the "PS button" again on the drum controller. At this point the drums should be assigned a port and sync up

Unfortunately, Guitar Hero 3 does not support drums. World Tour is the first game in the series to support them. In addition, if they aren't official Guitar Hero drums, they aren't guaranteed to work with World Tour. Hopefully they do work. Good luck!

Guitar hero world tour, Ps3, when the wireless reciever is plugged in the guitar shows two lights on the strum bar...the ps button works and the controller allows me to quit the game/shut down system etc...

It seems that the recent PS3 Firmware update (2.80) reassigns your controllers. In order to fix this (I just did it 20 minutes ago and all is fine) is:
Go to the XMB "Settings" Menu.
Open "Accessory Settings"
Using the controller you want to reassign, open "Reassign Controllers"
Scroll to the number you want that controller to be (1,2,3 or 4)
You are good to go!

Thanks to the Phone Help at Activision for this fix!

Guitar hero world tour for ps3

i had the same problem but with trial and error i came up with a soulution
1. Turn on the Playstation 3
2. Plug the dongle for the drum set into an open port on the PS3, the light will begin to flash slowly.
3. Hold down the button (where the light is flashing) on the dongle until it begin flashing very rapidly. Release the button and the light continues to flash rapidly.
4. Hold down the PS button on the drum set until the red light starts flashing rapidly.
5. Within a few seconds you will get a solid light on both the Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Set and the Playstation 3.

thanks

Can't use drums for rockband on guitar world tour

The instruments for Rock Band and GH:WT are compatible on the PS3 and the Xbox 360, not the Wii. Blame Activision, the creators of GH:WT - they went a different route with hardware for the Wii that made things incompatible.

Rock band instruments will not work with guitar hero world tour

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.
