What phone are you using?
Try to switch off your phone and try to put in another sim-card.
*Check if you get the "Connection error' message, if you don't, then it is the sim-card problem but if you do, its the phone's signal problem/mode.
Try to change it to GSM mode and check if it works, if it works;
"Connection Error" on dual mode is related to the telecommunications company you have have subscribed.
# If this doesn't work, you have to contact your phone's server helpline to solve this problem as I am not sure what phone you are using and not sure if the steps I've given you is suitable for your phone.
