Fisher and Paykel GW712 washer stuck in spray rinse stage
Our Fisher and Paykel GW712 washing machine regularly gets stuck in an endless loop in the spray rinse stage. Doesn't happen all the time but seems to be more frequent lately. Thanks DR - Australia
Fisher pre rinse spray hose will not shut off when lever is released, there is a button that gets pushed in when the lever is squeezed, however the button stays inside the handle now rather than protruding and shutting off the water flowFisher pre rinse spray hose will not shut off when lever is released, there is a button that gets pushed in when the lever is squeezed, however the button stays inside the handle now rather than protruding and shutting off the water flow

No clue to whether a top loader or a front loader, which is why we ask for full 'make model (what it is)'.
If it is only in the rinse cycle, and if it is a front loader it is likely to be spray of a crack in the box that is the detergent drawer and fabric softener mixer. The only way to find out is to remove the top after a wash and look for where the water came from.
You are better off swapping the valves over in the machine until you can buy a replacement valve. I've done this for a month or so until I replaced the valve. Works as long as you only use a cold wash and your cold water is not too cold as to make the machine want to add some hot. If it does this then simply press start to clear the fault.
There is an issue with your drainage area. Best to remove the pump and check for the obstruction in the line or at the impellar.(If the water is not completely drained, the pressure switch wont send a low level to the timer to allow a spin).
