does the light stay or blinking and how about the screen display totally black or a white screen. you can see in a dark room if their is a white screen. if totally black screen then with sound the cause is could be bad inverter board or screen back light. if a white screen it was the t-con board not working good.

The problem of your television is no picture.Usually in that symptom of LCD TV the problem is no back light.If there is no back lights the screen or display is totaly black.The problem is in the back light driver board, maybe there's a blown mounted fuse in the driver board or bad or leak capacitor from the supply of the back light driver board.Thanks...Hope it will help you to fix it..

Try to attach EXTERNAL MONITOR to check if you have display from External Display and to confirm that your Laptop System is still working. If you got display from external monitor, therefore you have a faulty LCD / Inverter (gives your LCD a back-light)
try adjusting the contrast, open front door and look under the panel there should be an adjustment screw for the contrast, if it doesnt work I suspect it is the panel itself that is bad.
if your laptop still turns on but doesnt display. change out the fl inverter. if that doesnt fix it then its your lcd screen. but i suggest first changing the inverter.
Sounds like the back light inverter board is bad.
It's a very common problem.
LCD's use four small cold compact fluorescent bulbs to back light the display. (thats what gives the LCD it's brightness allowing you to see it)
The inverter board runs these lights and when they go bad they will typically show symptoms like you have or the monitor power light comes on and you have either no display or a very dim display.
If you ever have one that has no display but the power light is on you can check by shining a flashlight directly into the LCD from the front (right into the screen) if you can see an image then it's either the inverter board (most likely) or the CCFL bulbs have gone bad.
The inverter board and CCFL's are replaceable.
