If this is a standard TV, you may use a sony universal remote to exit out of this. If this is a flat panel TV you may have to see a specifically dealer to get the original remote. These are expensive....Ask a friend who has the same TV and borrow it. Respect their answer and if loaned, return it soon as possible!

I have a sony (model KP61V75) a split screen came on (two pictures) and I cannot figure out how to get it back to one screen. Im going crazy!

Some television remote controls have a PIP OFF button, while others only have a PIP button that needs to be pressed repeatedly until the PIP/Twin-View window disappears.

NOTES:

  • Some Sony rear projection televisions have a FLASH FOCUS button that will turn off the PIP/Twin-View feature.

  • Some Sony universal remote controls, if programmed to operate a Sony TV, can disable the PIP/Twin-View feature by pressing the REC or ENT button.

  • If the original TV remote control is not available or is not functioning properly, auto programming the television tuner orperforming a power reset may deactivate the PIP/Twin-View feature.

  • If pressing the appropriate buttons on the TV remote control does not work, then the PIP/Twin-View window might be from a two-tuner cable or satellite set-top box. If this is the case, use the remote control provided with the set-top box to remove the PIP/Twin-View window.

I have a Trinitron KV27FS16 with a stuck PIP. I do not have original remote. I do not have manuals. Only have access to on screen menu

Hello
To access all parameters of your Sony TV, you must have its original remote control. If you haven't one, get it from Sony authorised service center. The number of remote control for KV-32FS120 is [ RM-Y195].
OK.

I need to get the pip screen i think its called off of the regular picture on the tv how do i do that because i dont even know how it poped up since the remote broke and i have a universia remote that...

You will need to either find a Sony remote with the PIP off button or a Sony remote with a RESET button. Borrow from a neighbor if needed. The newer TVs do not have a reset button, but the old ones do. The PIP OFF is self-explanatory... The RESET button method requires you to do this: With the TV on, point the remote at the TV and press and hold the RESET button on the remote, then press the power button on the TV. The TV we do a factory reset.

Pip is stuck and i don't even have a pip button on my remote!

The problem was solved by using the TWC cable remote control and selecting "TV" on the top and the press the big blue "Select" button. DO not forget to put the remote back into "CBL" mode. Apparently this is a hidden feature, which works even on TVs, which officially do not support PIP. I works only with the one tuner, video 2 and video 3 but not video 1.
