i can hear the movie but not see the movie. my car was running battery died and i had to get a jump,the movie was playing before the battery died but not after the jump

-   I also jumped my Pacifica on Thursday, drove 200 miles and the screen was still working on the DVD player. When we got in the car to come home the screen was white and the sound was still coming through the speakers.
Do I just have bad luck?

Sounds like youve put tooo much voltage through the player. A standard car battery is 12Volts, this is uped to 13.5Volts whilst engine is running. When you jump a car this can increase to over 20Volts fr a brief second.
I suggest taking it out of the car, and if its under warranty, you can return it for a repair.
