I understand that you want to turn down the beep on your Frigidaire microwave, model# PLMV169DC. You are not able to turn down the beep, but you are able to turn it completely off. If you wish to have your microwave oven operate with no audible signals, touch Help, the number 2 and Clear/Off. To cancel and restore the audible signal, touch Help, the number 2 and START. Hope this is helpful.
This f 5 code indicate or means that the oven has detected a condition it needsto check.what u need to do to solve this problem is to apply the below step as a guild.

Not knowing the make and model number of the microwave doesn't give me much information to work with. Try to google the make and model number, along with the phrase "unit beeps and error 40 on warming drawer", and see if something comes up. There are sites with error codes, which might help.
Also, refer to any literature that came with the unit, to see if they have the error codes listed, and what they refer to.
You can often go to the manufacturer's site and find useful information about various problems, and what needs to be done.
Wish I could be more specific, but will try to check back to see if you can include the make and model number, and then we will go from there.
All of the above tones are preset on, but can be turned off. To Turn Off/On: Touch and hold STOP TIME for 5 seconds. A tone will sound and “Snd oFF” will appear on the lower oven display for 3 seconds. Repeat to change back to “Snd on.”
The volume is preset at high, but can be changed to low.
To Change: Touch and hold the number pad “7” for 5 seconds. A tone will sound and “Snd Lo” will appear on the lower oven display for 3 seconds. Repeat to change back to “Snd HI.”
The Timer and Timed Cooking reminder tones are preset on, but can be turned off. Reminder tones do not include end-of-cycle tones. On combination oven models, if “All Tones” have been turned off, the reminder tones cannot be independently turned on.
To Turn Tones Off/On: Touch and hold TIMER SET • START until a tone sounds. Repeat to turn back on.
Timed Cooking (combination oven models only)
To Turn Tones Off/On: Touch and hold COOK TIME until a tone sounds and the lower oven display returns to inactive mode (blank). Repeat to turn back on.

Finally worked out how to do this today! I don't know what model you've got (I don't know what one I've got - it's built in and we've lost the manual) but try pressing the START button for six seconds. This should change the default from 30 beeps to 3 beeps. Bliss.
