Can't turn mp3 on

My mp3 was working fine one minute and the next, it just dies. Thought it was probably low on battery so I tried charging it but it won't charge and can't turn it on. Is it dead or can it be fixed? If so then how?

Mine is stuck ON no sound through my speakers at all and will not turn OFF or advance to the next song. It just sets where its at.

I also have this problem. I recently purchased a 1GB Sansa Clip from Walmart and it worked perfectly fine and everything. It's been about a month since I got it and now it doesn't work. When I plug it in my computers 2.0 USB port it doesn't show the Charging screen like it did before and nothing pops up on y computer and it doesn't turn on at all. All my Sansa Clip is now is a tiny piece of useless plastic.

PS: I already unistalled and reinstalled my drivers with no luck because it doesn't appear on my computer or any of the other 10 computers I have tried. It doesn't turn on no more.

Make sure you have a USB 2.0 or higher to ensure proper charging. Reset the player by holding in the power button for 15 seconds or longer. Then go to the Sansa website and download a firmware upgrade for the player.

RCA M4304 mp3 player wont charge even when plugged in

As long as your computer can see the player, it is likely the firmware has gotten corruped.

First, connect your player and back up any important media items that are on it.

Next, download and run the firmware installer from the RCA website:

Sansa clip sandisk 2gb won't charge. Thought it was low and after plugging it in to computer overnight it wasn't fully charged but worked the next morning but suddenly died. Now it won't charge. Sansa...

I had the same problem this morning, albeit with my 8G Clip. Nothing worked -- the thing seemed dead as roadkill -- until I found a link about "forcing MSC mode." Basically, it told me to hold down the center button while plugging my Clip into my computer using my USB cable. Suddenly, boom! It's awake and alive and happy again. I'm unsure how that works, but that did it for me.

Battery keeps dying

Most likely the charging circuitry has failed. When you fully charge the new battery what does the battery meter read on the camera? Your two options no matter what the case are repair vs. replacement. If you need further assistance let me know.

Listen everyone this is what happened to me and what I did. Let the battery drain completely (unplugged from computer). It usually takes 5 to 6 hours to drain completely.
Then plug back in and hold the back and down button at the same time. Zune should resume functioning afterwards. All that is needed is a recharge.

Try using new batteries - I was using what I thought were fully charged rechargable NiMH batteries (it's probably at the end of its life ad can no longer hold a charge) with mine and was getting the same error, I switched it out with a new battery and it works fine now.
