Brush Tracking Defaults

i think your software is not compatible on your operating system find that was compatible on mac os...

hold shift and open paint essential, click yes on the prompt to restore to defaults.

You can fix this problem by reseting corel to its default settings. Hold down the shift key when corel is starting up and click yes to reset to factory standards.

Hey man, I feel you pain. I have windows 7 now too (64 bit) and CPE4 is giving me exactly the same problem. I can do everything except open my brush drawer, or acess my recently used brushes/favorite brushes.

I've been looking for a solution for days. I'll post here again if i find something.

You may have an incompatible version of that software. You might want to try an earlier version of essentials.

It's the second one down, update for Painter Essentials 4 and Mac OS 10.6.

I've had this same problem when I first loaded Corel Painter Essentials 4.

Try opening Corel Painter and then going to: Edit > Preferences
Then there should be a box that says "General" click on that and when it gives you more options click on "Brush Tracking"
Now try drawing on the scratch pad with a typical stroke and it should adjust the settings to detect your tablet.
