If you are in Australia, Contact a company called INVISION, they will send you instructions on how to fix/complete installation. Make sure you tell them it's a PHILIPS HID KIT.

If you don't have a car kit for your phone in the Ranger, you don't need to connect this wire.

Rt side mcculloch HID light does not come on. checked fuses. what else should and can I check?

Hi, try swapping the bulb in question to the other side and see if it lights up fine, it sounds as if it's dead. Afterall bulbs may look nice but their lifespan is very short.
If after swapping and the bulb lights up in the other side, it means that the ballast/igniter has a problem which need to be changed and it does not light up, then the bulb is bad which also needs to be replaced....

Take care

Im trying to find where i can gt a complete guide on how to install a car stereo from color coding the wires to installing a dash kit

  1. DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL ON YOUR BATTERY!
  2. For an old stock stereo, you may have to remove the dash or certain parts of it to access the stereo. Do that by locating screws and bolts and taking them off. Make sure to keep them in a safe place.
  3. For an aftermarket stereo, insert DIN tools into each slot on the stereo behind the faceplate. Slide the whole stereo out.
  4. Disconnect the antenna wiring (The wire with the big metal tip)and the stereo head unit wiring (wire harness).
  5. Reconnect the antenna into your new stereo.
  6. Use **** connectors and wire crimps to connect the stock wire harness with a car specific one that is sold seperately. The color of the wires on each harnass should match up.
  7. Reconnect the negative terminal on your battery and see if it works.
  8. Slide the stereo back into the dash and remount the dash that you removed, including screws and bolts.
hope this will help you

you should be able to look it up at the place of purchase, stores like wal-mart have books with info for the specific vehicle, online like crutchfield will probably tell you everything you need.

well most commen tool is a phillips head screw driver (+) to remove components to get the old deck out you'll need a dash kit to mount the new radio in 15 buck from canadian tire or audio shop...
the easyest way to wire this up would be getting a harness to plug into the factory harness too get the color code and then u just make the connections red to red yellow to yellow makes it real simple that way... the other way is to get the hanes manual for your vehicle then find out what color each wire is then yu have to cut the factory harness wire up from the book takes alot longer but can be done its worth the 12-20 dollars to get the job done if you need more help ask
